Volcom Clothing was born way back in 1991 when two best friends, Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall, went on a snowboarding vacation. They decided to start a sports company that would produce snowboarding, surf and skate wear. The Volcom Clothing now has a vast range of clothing and has grown to include the Volcom Snow clothing and accessories range.
Even though Volcom are considered a surf brand, they are really more of a urban streetwear clothes brand. They use similar street art processes that street artists use. This is why you often find that their t-shirts have graffiti designs that look like they have been sprayed straight on to the clothing using a can of paint.
The Volcom Snow range of snowboarding clothing has become extremely popular among both snowboarders and urban streetwear lovers. The clothing brand is famous for its colourful characters that feature on the clothes and accessories. The most reknowned is Julius the smiling monkey that is the logo of the label.
